Timber Sales
Landmark Forestry has marked and sold approximately 52 million board feet of timber for private landowners, since the company started in 1992. All timber has been sold through either a sealed bid process or negotiated sale and has always yielded a fair market price. Landmark has also overseen all logging operations to ensure that all work was done within the Best Management Practices, as outlined be the state of West Virginia. Forest Stewardship Plans
Landmark Forestry is certified by the West Virginia Division of Forestry to write Forest Stewardship Management plans for non-industrial private forest landowners.   These plans provide landowners with detailed forest management guidelines to help them reach their specific objectives while incorporating timber production, wildlife and recreation management.

Timber Trespass
Landmark has represented many clients in timber trespass cases. Work in the field and testimony as an expert witness in the courtroom has been done on these matters. A total of about one million board feet were accounted for on these projects. References are available on request.

Forest Road Projects
Landmark Forestry is continuously involved in the layout and design of timber haul roads and skid roads in the surrounding counties weekly. All roads are designed using clinometers and tapes/pacing along with GPS to determine slopes and length.

Tree Farm Program
Landmark Forestry is active in the national Tree Farm System which promotes sustainable forestry.  A certified inspector is on the staff and takes care of re-inspections and signing up any new landowners interested in the Tree Farm System.
